It's a shortsword, much like a kodachi— except with a certain mechanism, the blade can extend into a whip of blades, artfully becoming an even more frightening weapon to behold.

And there's a little stuffed kitten next to it that has a card which reads: ]

[This shouldn't be so nerve-wracking. He spends time with Felix all the time, popping in on him at Manuela's school, dragging him out for dinner, making him settle down and play a game with him or watch a movie, but...

Well, this time the intent is very different.

Offhandedly, he'd come to the realization that they hadn't actually slept together without some kind of outside interference, and that feels... strange. So maybe it means what all they've done so far doesn't mean anything, but... that doesn't feel right either.

So he sets to knocking on Felix's door at a time when he's usually home. Because this is definitely not something to text about, or, worse, by shouting at the wall and hoping he hears.]

[ Not all that many people visit Felix-- and some of the people he was getting less prickly about have vanished -- so he can only guess who it might be when he hears the door. He'd been out training for most of the morning and then came home to grab a bite to eat and clean himself up.

His hair is mildly damp from bathing, but for the most part, he's dry and dressed again, his hair pulled back as it usually is.

He pulls the door open in no particular hurry, looking up to Sylvain as he's standing there. ]

[ For Felix's birthday, he will find a nice platter of gourmet beef and steak, all freshly cooked and well-seasoned on his table (Don't ask how Byleth got in. He has his ways). [ Delivered in two packages, that he carries over to his room and sets outside when Felix isn't in, is a little music box with four cats in it, one yellow, one black, one red and one blue-gray all snuggling together. It reminded him of Ingrid, Sylvain, Felix and himself! And plays this!! The melody sounded a bit nostalgic. Together with a note, and a little well-sealed lunchbox containing an assortment of meat cakes and tea-desserts that aren't sweet but very pleasant to have with tea. They'll be well sealed until his return. ]
